On this episode of the Startup of the Year Podcast, we’ve got an investor conversation that my Co-Founder, Jen Consalvo, and I had a discussion during our “Grow your startup” pitch competition.
During the event, five companies had a chance to showcase their companies in front of our esteemed investor panel, which included our long-time friend and former colleague, Rich Maloy, who is currently the managing partner at Springtime Ventures and has had careers in finance and sales and of course working with Established. He is now on a mission to rebuild the American Dream through entrepreneurship and he is focused on working with and investing in early-stage startups.
Rich was grouped with fellow investor, Monique Idlett-Mosley, who is the founder and general partner of Reign Venture Capital, which is an early-stage investment firm that focuses on women and minority-led startups. She has served as the CEO of Mosley Music Brands and Mosley Music Group, which is home to a multi-platinum roster of artists such as Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, One Republic, and more.
Last but not least, Rich and Monique were joined by Peter Alemis, who is the founder and general partner at Alemis Ventures. Prior to founding his firm, Peter was the Chief Development Officer for Family Dental Care, where he helped scale and operate the business to become the largest private dental group in Chicago.
